In the hospitality sector, the legal minimum wage in France translates to a net income of €1,400 per month for a 39-hour workweek. This income should cover your housing, food, and other essential expenses without any financial strain.
Plan for the following expenses:
– Transportation costs.
– Rent costs, which can fluctuate significantly depending on the region. On average, you can expect to pay between €500 and €700 per month for a shared apartment.
– Make sure you have enough funds to cover your food expenses locally during your initial month until you receive your first paycheck.
You can send in your application between 1 and 6 months before your desired departure date.
Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry is not compulsory, as some positions do not require any particular knowledge and are suitable for most people.
